Description
A vibrant ruby colour. A stunning example of a complex and layered pinot noir. Showing hints of ripe berry fruit and fine oak. The palate is taut, spicy yet silky and fruit driven with a delicate finish.
Pinot noir is the reason Amisfield exists: the whole winery is geared towards the making of single-estate pinot noir. Amisfield pinot noir is different year to year, with multiple layers of textures and flavours in the glass. There are all the usual cherries and raspberries that you expect from a Pisa pinot noir, but you’ll also find mocha and Black Doris plum. There are fine tannins rather than a big structure.
