This estate grown Waiheke Sauvignon Blanc exhibits fresh herb, nettles and gooseberry characters and contains a splash of Sémillon, creating a wine that is fresh and crisp, in a dry fruity style. The Sauvignon Blanc adds the pungency to the aromas and the Sémillon adds a remarkable ‘chalky’ minerality to the wine which, over time, will develop into a wonderfully toasted muesli/tropical fruit character.
Man O’ War Estate Sauvignon Blanc
Our Sauvignon blanc is entirely hand harvested and gently pressed to tank for settling. The clear juice is then racked to another tank and inoculated with selected yeast. A long cool fermentation followed before blending and bottling in early spring.
