This wine is from grapes grown in three of our Hawkes Bay vineyards – Tantallon, Riverview and Kinross.
The parcels of grapes were machine harvested in the Hawke’s Bay and transported to our Riverview winery for processing. In each case the fruit was crushed into open top fermenters and inoculated with a range of yeast strains. The vessels were hand plunged several times per day until fermentation was complete. The wine was then pressed off the skins and a portion was put to barrel; the rest to stainless steel tanks for malolactic fermentation. The resulting wine was then transported by road tanker to our Katikati winery
